The Wall

You know the saying, “the writing is on the wall?” Well, it’s very literal when it comes to my shop wall. When you make your way through my small shop, one of the first things you’ll notice are all the signatures on the wall. It’s a tradition that started about four years ago after I visited the Gibson guitar factory in Memphis, TN. When you walk down the hallway to enter the guitar factory, you can’t help but notice some of the famous signatures on the wall. After returning home, I decided I wanted everyone that visited my shop to leave their mark. It’s a constant reminder of the many stories, laughs, and even tears shared in this little work space of mine.

Some just sign and date, while others draw murals or leave their favorite quote. There’s no parameters to it, just a blank canvas for you to leave your mark. I often catch myself just starring at it, reading the names and remembering the visits. The wall is made from old pallet wood, so luckily, I’ll be able to take it with me if I ever relocate.

The tradition has continued in the mobile shop as well; with signatures from folks that have hosted events or have had a call built. So many memories and friends made in the short time I’ve been traveling with it.

Whether you’ve traveled ten minutes or ten hours, I truly appreciate each and everyone that takes the time out of their schedule to stop in and say hello. If you’d like to plan a shop visit, please reach out via email at raggiocustomcalls@yahoo.com

I look forward to many more shop visits from you guys, and with that, watching the wall take on an identity of its own!
